
Farlow's On The Water sits right on the water in Englewood at 2080 S McCall Rd, and owners Keith and Laurie Farlow run it with a hands-on approach that shows up in the food. Everything is prepared fresh daily, and the kitchen even grows its own herbs — parsley, basil, and rosemary — in an on-site garden.
The menu takes a Caribbean and Southern direction that sets it apart from the standard Gulf Coast seafood playbook. Fresh catches like Ahi Tuna, Black Grouper, Chilean Sea Bass, and Mahi share space with USDA Prime hand-cut steaks, Kentucky Hot Brown, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Corn Pudding. It's a lot of range, and it works.
The boardwalk gives diners a chance to watch waterfront wildlife, and outside seating is available when the weather cooperates. Curbside and takeout are also available.
