Miguel's has been a fixture on Siesta Key since 1983, when Miguel Garcia — a native of Malaga, Spain who spent formative years in France's Burgundy region — brought his love of French and continental cooking to Sarasota. Located at 6631 Midnight Pass Road, the restaurant has stayed in the family: Miguel's sons Chef Gabriel Garcia and Daniel Garcia have managed it since 2002.
Chef Gabe holds a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales and is a certified sommelier, which shows in both the food and one of Siesta Key's more serious wine selections. The menu is built around homemade, creative European-style dishes — the kind of cooking that rewards repeat visits because the classics are done right.
Tableside preparations are a house tradition, and the Caesar salad made tableside has earned devoted fans. Open seven days a week, 4pm to close, with an Early Bird menu from 4–6pm that's a smart value.
