The Lazy Lobster

The Lazy Lobster has long been the kind of place Longboat Key residents point newcomers toward — casual, unfussy, and serious about seafood. Dinner is served Monday through Saturday starting at 4 PM, with the outdoor garden terrace accepting walk-ins when the dining room fills up.

The menu leans hard into lobster: Lobster Scargotto, Lobster Bisque, and Lobster Mac and Cheese are mainstays alongside a classic Maine Lobster Roll. Beyond lobster, look for wasabi and sesame-crusted Ahi Tuna, pan-seared scallops with ravioli, and coconut shrimp.

A 12-stool bar and hi-top lounge round out the space, and private dining is available for groups of 10 to 40. Located at 5350 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key; closed Sundays and for lunch.
